Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and discovered her love for sprinting at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After a few weeks of the first attempt she made, she was ranked second for 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from her high school year in 2003 and became a part of Adidas a contract as professional athlete. The following year she was a student at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record in the 200-meter race with a time of 22.18. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her becoming the youngest female to win the 200 meter race. In 2007 she defended that title, beating her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed in the top three of athletes at her particular events.
