Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed at Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident right from the day she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first tryout she came in second place in the 200-meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix was a senior in high school having signed a professional contract with the athletics company Adidas prior to matriculating at the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record running 200 meters for 22.18. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion for the distance of 200 meters. In 2007, she defended her title by beating Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in the Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three of her competitions.
