Alison Doody

Alison Doody was born in Dublin in the Republic of Ireland, on the 11th of November 1966. Model and an Irish actor. Her feature film debut was in a minor role in her debut role in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Later she played the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and in the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan Donevan as A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) were other characters. Doody started modelling when she was approached. The result was that it turned out to be an extremely lucrative profession. Doody did not shy away from glamour or naked work, a rule that allowed her to pursue an acting career. After getting noticed by the casting directors of an upcoming James Bond new film, Doody took a small portion of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody was named one of 12 Promising New Actors from 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody was still only 18 years old when she made her appearance in the Bond part. As of today Doody is considered to be the youngest Bond girl. Another film from her early days had her in a minor role in a small role as IRA Siobhan Doovan, a member of the IRA in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) which featured Mickey Rourke. Doody played an unseen role in the film as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias during his film of a dream, the 1987 adaptation from The Secret Garden. She played Sapsorrow in the episode of Jim Henson's fantasy series The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She first appeared in the 1988 movie Taffin with Pierce Brosnan. Next, she portrayed Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist and Nazi-sympathizer opposite Harrison Ford. The film also starred Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody is a co-star with three actors that have played James Bond. Doody has co-starred alongside Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was inspired by The Hitler Diaries publishing scam. The actress later relocated to Hollywood. She was Flannery the agent of Charlie Sheen as well as girlfriend for Major League II. She was chosen to be an alternative to Cybill Shepherd who was once L'Oreal's spokeswoman. Doody was part of The 2002 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine portrayed her at a ceremony to receive an award. Doody was a co-star, along with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film version of King Solomon's Mines. Doody was a part-time actress in Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). She guested in RTE's the medical thriller The Clinic. The project was later canceled. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. In 2014, she was on the show as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way. In November of 2018 she received the Almeria Tierra de Cinema Award and received a Star on Almeria's Walk of Fame.
